DOCUMENTARY :

For the duration of the exhibition PABLO PICASSO, RENDEZ VOUS, Phil Grabsky's magnificent documentary JEUNE PICASSO will be shown three times a day.
Length of documentary: 1h30
Original version, French subtitles

Pablo Picasso is one of the world's greatest artists, and until his death in 1973 he was the most prolific. How did it all begin? How was Picasso built? After being ignored for too long, it's time to focus on the artist's early years, his upbringing and the lessons that enabled him to achieve the extraordinary. Three cities played a key role: Malaga, Barcelona and Paris. "The Young Picasso" traverses them and explores their influence on the artist, analysing specific works from his early years.

DOCUMENTARY :

By Georges-Marc Benamou, produced by Siècle Productions for France Télévisions. Siècle Productions - 2023.

The Picasso Affair by Georges Marc Benamou.

Siècle Productions. Production year 2022.
Documentary running time: 52 minutes.
Screenings during the exhibition

The most famous and scandalous painter since the Renaissance... An icon as much as a mystery that this film explores through rare and unpublished archives, from his childhood in Spain; the testimonies of his daughter Paloma, and his grandchildren Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, Olivier and Diana.

This "Picasso" is a total film. It will not gloss over any of Picasso's lives; not his communist commitment after Guernica; not his rivalries with Matisse or Braque; not his love affairs, and the latest debates launched after #Meetoo by neo-feminists, on his relationship with women, or with models.

It's a journey through the Picasso century, as presented in this major documentary by international standards.
